RHLL will be holding its annual T-Mobile homerun derby Saturday May 31st, at Fred Crabtree Park.

We will begin check-in at 5:30.  The competition is open to all players little league aged 9-12 year olds. Batters must use a USA stamped baseball bat and wear their team uniform.  The event will be held at Field #2, however balls hit 170 feet are considered homeruns.  We encourage all players interested to participate and if not, come out for what will be a great night at the park as we crown our next homerun champion.

The homerun derby is sponsored by the Pinkman Baseball Academy and will be rewarding our Champion with a great prize!

The snack shack will be open and we will have a shave ice vendor providing free shave ice for anyone that would like one.

What is Pitch Hit & Run?

Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run (PHR) is a free event that creates a safe and fun environment for kids to stay active and learn or continue to play baseball and softball in their local communities. Participation gives the athletes a chance to compete and earn a spot in a Team Championship and advance to the Finals.

Pitch Hit & Run is for boys and girls ages 7 to 14 years old and consists of a series of movements that are important in baseball and softball. Athletes are tested on their individual skills in each movement earning a cumulative score at the end of the competition. Based on their scores, they can advance from a Local Competition to a Team Championship and then to the Finals, which is held in conjunction with the MLB World Series.

Who can participate in the competition, and what are the divisions?

Baseball Division:

• 7/8U (Born between 11/15/16-11/15/18)
• 9/10U (Born between 11/15/14-11/15/16)
• 11/12U (Born between 11/15/12-11/15/14)

To celebrate another season in the books and to thank all our families for their fundraising efforts, RHLL will be holding our end of season picnic on Sunday June 8th.  We encourage all teams to come out to Fred Crabtree Park for a great time. 

There will be food (for purchase), drinks (free water) and free shave ice available. We'll have moon bounces, obstacle courses and other fun activities for the kids.   

We will have a dunk tank so that players have a chance to dunk their favorite coaches! Last, but not least, we will raffle off 70+ items!

We hope teams come setup canopies, bring some food and make a team party out of it. We will hand out trophies to our best fundraisers, coaches of the year and our prized Majors sportsmanship award. The skills competitions will feature the fastest runners and longest throwers from all our divisions. It will be a great time, join us!
