Why Reston Herndon Little League?
Reston Herndon Little League is the largest and oldest youth baseball league in the Reston Herndon area. We are also the oinly offcial Little League program in the Reston Herndon area. Don't get stuck playing the same two or three teams all the time! Give your player the oppurtunity to maybe play on ESPN while participoating in the largest baseball tournament in the World, the Little League World Series.
Reston Herndon Little League has fields in both Reston and Herndon. Speaking of fields, RHLL is proud to call Bryce Harper All Star Field at Fred Crabtree Park our home. Our partnership with the Washington Nationals has lead to one of the finest youth baseball facilities in Northern Virginia.
Our participation rules give all players a chance to play and make a diffrence for their team!
Be a part of the RHLL commmunity. There's no better baseball commuinity than ours. We start the season with an opening day parade down the Reston Town Center. We end our season with a picnic at Crabtree with all star exhibitions, skill competitions, trophy presentations, bounce houses, coaches dunk tanks, raffles and more! You're not joining a league, you're joining a community.
We have strong ties with all four of our local high school baseball programs (Herndon, South Lakes, Oakton & Madison). This allows us to lean on some of the best coaches in the area for training and skill development. Our fall clinics allow our players to interact and learn from some of the best coaches in the area.
Our Mission
Reston-Herndon Little League offers children between the ages of 4 and 12 the chance to participate in an organized youth baseball program. The league focuses on developing player skills and love of the game in a fun, family environment. League boundaries cover all of Herndon and Reston, and portions of Chantilly, Oak Hill, and Vienna.
According to our by-laws, the objective of the league is to: “implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children and will grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens."
